Barbour LFWM SS18 – Fated & Fabled

Barbour LFWM SS18

go site Barbour’s SS18 offering was set in the Vinyl Factory in Soho and we were treated to an immersive experience that captured its vintage brilliance, starting with a 3D projection room that brought catalogues from the Barbour archives to life. Quotes from founder Duncan Barbour were projected, along with images of Steve McQueen in 1964, a key year in their history.

see Moving into the modern day, we saw practical and utilitarian garments accessorised with dark baseball hats, white trainers and backpacks, with one of the main features being the black or light grey joggers, paired with the classic Barbour jacket for the vintage feel. Other leather jackets came in hues of stone and navy, whilst the brilliant and most immersive treat came as we quite literally walked into a motorcycle garage was to witness the bike engineer Calum Pryce-Tidd building a Ducati Scrambler bike. Coupled with the wrinkled vintage t-shirts hanging from the ceiling, the set really brought you back to Barbour’s roots.
